Network Troubleshooting

Have worked for multiple clients to solve significant computer networking issues. This included fixing a VOIP routing issues on a Cisco UC560 PBX system, which included packet sniffing the network to follow transport streams. Additionally, configured system to interface with an IP intercom connected to a Honeywell RFID access system to allow front door “buzz in” access using DTMF passcode entered.

Server Maintenance

Experience with Windows Server 2003, 2005, and 2008 including active directory management. Additionally have experience with dedicated Microsoft Exchange servers. Currently migrating many clients to new hardware running the VMWare ESXi hypervisor to combine several disjoint servers onto a single piece of hardware running virtual machines. Also manage both offsite backups through VPN and on-site.

Desktop Support

Troubleshoot general computing issues that users experience on their individual workstations. This includes Outlook configuration, internet connectivity, software updates, training in advanced features of Microsoft Office, and basic tutoring of custom business applications.

Home Theater Systems

For residential clients, install high end home theater and automation systems. Experience includes in-wall equipment racks, Ceton automation equipment, and general support and maintenance of home theaters, including remote programming. Additionally build and install media servers with digital TV tuners to provide whole-house custom DVR experience.
